Who: Kathy Nolan
Where and When: April 17-23 on a family trip to Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
What about these photos make them special? “I walked to the local market each day for fresh mango, pineapple, melons to enjoy. You cannot imagine anything more delicious than those fresh fruits, so close to the source.
The Spider monkey was at an animal rescue sanctuary high in the mountains in a very remote area of the rain forest. He had been rehabilitated and released back into the wild, but still hung around the sanctuary, where he could reach into the cages and steal easy food from the monkeys there. I watched him for a long time and caught this hysterically funny pose, looking a lot like Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies!
The sunset photo was taken on our last full day in Costa Rica. Our resort faced the sunset. My husband and I walked to the spot in the photo to watch the sun set. It was a beautiful evening… perfectly peaceful. Pura vida, as they say in Costa Rica!”
How do you live in the moment? “I try to live each moment, actually taking time to slow down and breathe and be present for the little things I encounter, thankful for the beautiful things we often take for granted. I am so inspired by nature, and find it very easy to live the moment when surrounded by natural beauty. I try to remind myself to smile often!! You notice many more funny moments when you’re already smiling! On our trip to Costa Rica, my cheeks literally ached from smiling so much!”
AWESOME PHOTOS!!!!!!
