Fickle Female O-g-sm

Hello:
Having lived in New York City for 1 year, I have a very different take on life. Space is sacred. Diversity is a healer. And if you want to get something done, give it to someone who’s busy.
Putting all these millions of people on the little island of Manhattan, in some ways is a painful and broken experiment, but in so many other ways, brings out the best in humanity.
New businesses crop up everyday, culture is brimming from every nook, and the intensity brings potential to a boiling point.
But what makes it most powerful is the filth, stench and despair against which beauty is so starkly contrasted. Many would say faith and beauty are intricately entwined.
As Gabriela Mistral suggests, “Beauty is the shadow of God on the universe.”
Forget Machu Picchu or the Egyptian pyramids, come to New York to find God!? WTF?
Consider the following 3 ways that chaos conjures faith:
3. Even the Plants are Tough
That a plant can grow and even thrive in Manhattan is a sight to behold. And some of the things plants do will blow your mind.
Consider the Vine tendril, as tough as any New Yorker, which can be seen in the photo to the right.
Note how the plant reaches for and purposely wraps around the galvanised wire provided for the purpose.
This is a very tough twig and appears to have no other purpose than support for the plant.
It must reach out softly, then wrap around and then dry and toughen.
2. The Power of LightÂ
So so many people I’ve spoken with have said that Septermber 11, 2001 forever softened New Yorkers. As any spiritualist will tell you, light trumps dark every time. Jodi Piccoult said, “You can stick a candle into the dark. But you can’t stick the dark into the light.”
1. The Fickle Female Orgasm
In the close quarters of an urban apartment building, you hear everything. I awoke a few weeks ago to the neighbor above me having a moment.
I couldn’t go back to sleep.
What is one to do wide awake at 3:32am but surf the web… whereupon I found an article entitled “Female Orgasm: Proof Of God / Science can’t explain it, evolution can’t understand it and men can only lie there in awe”
According to many scientists there is no evolutionary purpose for the female orgasm, it’s just the Grace of God.
Or as SF Gate columnist Mark Morford said, “Women have orgasms because by and large they refuse to launch monstrous ultraviolent illegal soul-deadening wars over oilsucking phallocentric powermad landwhoring BS powergrabs and therefore they fully deserve all the inexplicable otherworldly cosmically infused clitorally energized pleasures they can get.”

While there is much to be said for the sacred texts and hallowed halls of our churches, mosques, and temples, why not also consider the little, peculiar, random moments that grab our attention each day.
As a wise one said, “God shouts in our pains, speaks to us in our conscience, and whispers to us in our pleasures.”
