Livin the Moment 2012: Take Back Your Life

If you are wondering if this program is right for you, let me ask the following questions:

–Do you feel like you have so much to be grateful for yet you’re always longing for something you don’t have and making yourself miserable in the process?

–Do you always feel so busy that your health is suffering because you don’t make time to exercise, rest, and take care of yourself?

–Have you found that you’re stuck professionally or personally and having a hard time growing, evolving, turning the page on the past?

–Do you find yourself watching your kids get older yet you’re not spending enough time enjoying their youth?

–Do you have regrets, failures, and fears that weigh you down and hold back?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’re not alone. Everyone seems to be feeling the pain of too many emails, too much emotional and mental clutter, and schedules that are impossibly busy.

There’s no better time than NOW to change. And on that note, I’m looking for a very limited group of people who want to join me in a mission to Take Back Your Life.

Take it Back from the buzzing gadgets, busy schedules, and bad relationships.  And make 2012 the year to get fully in touch with your health, passion, and purpose.

Why This Program, Why Me?

For the past 15 years, I’ve been studying, researching, learning, and teaching how to reclaim the present moment by embracing the things you love most…chocolate, wine, laughter, love.

I got my start in the yoga world co-founding a chain of yoga studios, At One Yoga, which were widely recognized for pioneering the modernization of the ancient practice.

Furthering the mission of blending East and West, modern and ancient, by fusing yoga and everyday passions like exotic chocolate, in 2003, I co-founded Yoga & Chocolate with Katrina Markoff, CEO of Vosges Haut-Chocolat.

Fortune Magazine just released its 40 Entrepeneurs under 40. #1 was Facebook’s Mark Zuckerburg. #40 was…Katrina Markoff (woot woot!!!)

After Yoga & Chocolate, came Yoga & Wine and last year Yoga for Foodies. Both were featured in The New York Times for their cutting edge approach to healthy living.

With the spirit of cutting edge innovation being the main driver, those of you who join me in Livin the Moment 2012 will be a new type of pioneer which I refer to as a MOMENTEER.

The thrust of the year will be developing the strength and vision to realize that technology is exceeding our humanity, and we need to defend that which is sacred in our lives.

We’re dealing with way too many emails, texts, status updates…and not nearly enough hugs, naps, sunsets, and desserts!

Following are some Frequently Asked Questions that will provide you with the delicious details about Livin the Moment 2012…

1. Where will Livin the Moment 2012 take place?

In the comfort of your own home. You will not need to travel, buy a plane ticket, or purchase new equipment and materials.  You won’t need to leave your family or take time off work. You can embrace Livin the Moment 2012 on your schedule and at your convenience.

Throughout the year I’ll be sharing exclusively with you and others in the program my newest and best material, videos, blogs, stories, themes, and audio yoga classes…all specifically tailored to get you thinking differently, not taking life so seriously, and tuning your mind and heart to a more positive, uplifting tenor.

2. I love the sound of this but how will my life improve by experiencing Livin the Moment 2012?

–You’ll be inspired to TAKE BACK YOUR LIFE

The way things are going, with each passing day there will be a new gadget, a faster phone, a smaller desktop, not to mention more demands from the kids, boss, and co-workers. Something’s gotta give.

Either you get completely consumed and find yourself checking emails when you wake up to pee in the middle of the night, or you start to fight for your right to have uninterrupted time in the moment.

Livin the Moment 2012 will provide an ongoing rallying cry that will get you thinking twice about reaching for the iPad when you could be reaching for partner, child, or book that’s been sitting on your shelf for years waiting to be read.

–You’ll have a consistent voice reminding you to prioritize, indulge, slow down, and savor

On a weekly basis in 2012, you’ll receive a challenge, mission, or in-depth journey asking you to track inwardly and ponder the important questions and deeper issues you otherwise would think about only on very rare occasions.

For instance, if you were to die tomorrow what would be your legacy, the lasting effect you’d have on the people you love most.  You just never know if you’ll be on earth another 50 years or another 50 seconds.

It’s nice to have someone tapping you on the back or sometimes kicking you in the butt to make sure you are living your most fulfilled life.

–You’ll laugh more

The great Jack Handy once said, “Somebody told me how frightening it was how much topsoil we are losing each year, but I told that story around the campfire and nobody got scared.”

Exactly. Jack Handy knows life is way too short to be taken so seriously.

If you receive my weekly Schtick emails,  or if you read my book which reached #1 on the Amazon Self-Help Bestseller list, you might know my style is not typical in the world of self-improvement.

We all could stand to loosen our grip on life.

Throughout 2012, I’ll help you lighten up and look at the brighter side of livin and lovin…because even more healing than exercise, nutrition, or meditation…is LAUGHTER!

–You’ll do more yoga

Following in the footsteps of my programs Yoga & Chocolate, Yoga & Wine, and Yoga for Foodies, this year I’m launching a new yoga program on my nationwide tour. It’s called Yoga & You.

It’s focused NOT on alignment or asana or tradition but rather on the battles, struggles, and issues that YOU are dealing with on a daily basis.

Each month, I’ll send you a brand new Yoga & You audio yoga class focused on themes like Winning the Inner Battles, and Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon. You’ll know the postures but the themes and rallying cries will lift you to new heights as you practice.

Also, I’m debuting The Grateful Dead Yoga Hour at the Yoga Journal Conference in San Francisco in January and you’ll receive exclusive access to the audio version of this class which will include an epic Grateful Dead playlist with the best versions of their greatest songs.

And, I’m debuting Yoga & Steve Jobs: Unlocking the Collective Consciousness at the Yoga Journal Conference in New York in April and you’ll receive exclusive access to the audio version of this class

–You’ll spend more time IN THE PRESENT MOMENT with yourself, spouse, children, and friends

Over the course of the year I’ll share with you the latest in mindfulness, positive psychology, and happiness to keep your brain fresh, your vibration charged, and intention strong.

A combination of knowledge, science, and consistent reminders will help you redefine your notion of The Moment and carve out a path to the present that best suits your style and sensibility

3. What happens once I sign up?

Here’s how it works…

At the start of each month you’ll receive a video from me covering a massively important theme inspiring you to think BIG, out of the box, life-changing thoughts. This is the kind of reminder you’ll want to stick a magnet on and attach to your fridge. Stuff we KNOW we need to be reminded of…but that tends to fade to the outer edges of our consciousness.

For example, our first month’s theme: PACE YOURSELF: The Diane Schuler Tragedy.

To elaborate further, you may have heard of  the sad story of Diane Schuler who in July 2009 was driving a car the wrong way on a busy New York freeway.

The ensuing accident claimed the lives of 8 people.

Schuler was the mother of 3 children, also held a important job, and lived a busy life at a frantic pace. Can you relate?

The forensic psychiatrist who studied the Diane Schuler tragedy believes she may have been too proud to relent and pull over when she was feeling sick that afternoon.

She forced herself to find a way to overcome, to juggle all the needs of the moment, and this led to a horribly tragic consequence.

Each week you’ll receive an affectionate whack on the cabeza to wake up and stay in the moment. We’re not using gentle, wussy terms here because for most of us, a certain ferocity is required to regain control of our lives.

This will be my-depth column/blog available only to those of you in Livin the Moment 2012. It will focus on the theme of the month while giving you further food for thought on pop culture, music, food, and anything and everything that offers a gateway to the present moment.

If you enjoy my Schtick newsletter or you had fun reading my book, you will LOVE the monthly and weekly reminders that will take you deep into those oddball corners of the soul that make you feel like you’re on Spring Break driving in a convertible down the PCH at sunset with not a worry in the world.

For example, one weekly message will focus on the story of a dog named Daniel (see photo) who miraculously survived the gas chamber earlier in 2011, only the 3rd time such an incident has happened in 12 years at the Animal Control Center in Florence, Alabama.

Imagine, they put this dog in the gas chamber along with a hundred other pooches whose fate was sealed, but when they opened the door to remove the bodies, out comes Daniel, alive…by the Grace of God.

How did he survive, and what can be learned from such a tenacious little creature?

Every success story includes a quality of resilience.. not in a wussy-footed “maybe I can do this” sort of way but in a “you can knock me down but you can NEVER knock me out!”sort of way.

–Yoga & You Audio Yoga Class: Each month you’ll receive an audio yoga class featuring my most current, freshest themes. As mentioned previously, themes such as The Grateful Dead Yoga Hour and Yoga & Steve Jobs: Unlocking the Collective Consciousness both of which I’ll be debuting at the Yoga Journal Conferences in San Francisco in January and New York City in April. And both of which you’ll have exclusive audio access to as participants in Livin the Moment 2012.

The combination of inspiration, laughter, physical experience, pop culture, science, community, renewed faith, hope, power, and passion in Livin the Moment 2012….will be totally unique in the world of health and wellness.

5. I’m IN! What is the cost for Livin the Moment 2012?

Programs such as this can run anywhere from several thousand dollars all the way up to tens of thousands of dollars. For instance, to attend my 3 day Yoga for Foodies retreat in Sedona would cost twenty-two hundred dollars.

After considering all the costs associated with running this program and tailoring it to a limited group experience, I’ve decided to make this within the reach of anyone who is truly serious about making 2012 one of the best years ever!

To take advantage and make the last 6 months of your year nothing short of AWESOME, visit here

6. I’ve heard enough and I’m in! When can I sign up?

Register here to make the investment, take advantage of the early registration price, and commit to a year filled with more presence and passion than ever before!

7. Why isn’t this program free?

My track record speaks for itself with pioneering change in the world of wellness… from co-founding a cutting edge yoga community (At One Yoga) in Arizona to pioneering the yoga fusion movement including Yoga & Chocolate, Yoga & Wine, Yoga for Foodies, Yoga & You…and The Grateful Dead Yoga Hour.

My work has been featured in The New York Times, Newsweek, and Food & Wine as well as a turn as the Yahoo! Mind-Body Expert.

Livin the Moment 2012 is my brand new creation with very in-depth themes, missions, and stories designed to hit you deep in the heart and ignite a renewed appreciation to live in the moment!

I cannot work for free. But I can promise you that my experience as a bestselling author and wellness innovator will be felt deeply in this year long journey.

You will get out of this Program what you put into it. And if you become a Momenteer and commit yourself to Livin the Moment 2012 and are not satisfied after 30 days, I will offer you 100% money back. That’s how much I’m staking on the impact this program will have on you!

8. Will this benefit a worthy cause…other than my peace of mind?

An ongoing thread in Livin the Moment 2012 will be focusing on those in our population who are more in the moment than anyone…our senior citizens.

The elderly have so much to teach us yet we often discard them in old age homes or in some cases on the street. There are almost 1,000,000 American seniors in deep poverty and 50,000 homeless seniors in our nation.

Throughout 2011, I have supported a New York based organization called Search and Care which has been creating a template and model to help seniors not just in New York but in communities across the country.

A portion of all proceeds from Livin the Moment 2012 will go toward fueling Search and Care’s efforts to provide much needed love, attention, and resources to our senior citizens in need.

Because it doesn’t seem right that old people should be ignored, and left to spend their final days alone and sad. They have so much to teach us about wisdom, presence, and how to live “well” into the latter years of life.

Many of those benefiting from Search and Care’s efforts are absolutely REMARKABLE. One of their clients who I had the opportunity to meet is 108 years young. She embodies a humor, raison d’être, and resilience that can inspire all of us to redefine our notion of youthfulness.

If you fear the aging process, instead of spending money to keep your skin smooth and body toned, how about investing in that which truly keeps you vibrant and alive…WISDOM.

9. What if I don’t do yoga? Would Livin the Moment 2012 still be relevant to me?

Even if you have never done yoga and never want to do yoga, you will be in the sweet spot for a one-of-a-kind wellness experience. The audio yoga class is one small part of the overall Livin the Moment 2012 experience.

All I ask is that you share my commitment to having an open mind on how you can live a deeper, richer, more impassioned life IN THE MOMENT.

This program’s most important impact will be to serve as a consistent source of inspiration reminding you about the power of positive energy…a feeling that you can make a difference, better your relationships, and ignite your spirit…not by changing the world, but by changing yourself.
