My Cousin Eli

“Anxiety is the rust of life, destroying its brightness and weakening its power. A childlike and abiding trust in Providence is its best preventive and remedy.”  –Unknown

Last year I went to my little cousin’s 2 year old birthday. We sang Happy Birthday, blew out the candles on his cupake, and watched him dig in. This photo shows my cousin Eli about to go crazy which ends up leaving a smattering of frosting and sprinkles smushed all over his face. This is what I mean by Livin’ the Moment. To recall the carefree lifestyle of youth, try this exercise. Get a piece of cake, and eat it like it’s the last piece of cake you’ll ever have in your life. No napkin allowed. You might just recall a time when “anxiety” was an adult word, and freedom was a face full of frosting.
