Teacher Training
I’m excited to announce my 2010 Teacher Training/Student Intensive Program. It will take place in the beautiful beachside community of Santa Monica, California in two 10-day segments which will occur in the Spring and Summer of 2010 ( for instance… March 12-March 21…and July 9-July 19…these dates are an example. Exact dates still TBA).
This is a program geared for both the student seeking a more in-depth journey through the yoga tradition and the student who wishes to become a yoga teacher. By completing the program, not only will you be a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher, you will acquire a strong background in yoga’s 5,000 year old tradition. What will make this Teacher Training unique is its wide variety of modern components to the cirriculum which will include: making a music playlist, weaving an inspirational theme into your class, embracing wine and chocolate as gateways to the present moment, marketing yourself as a teacher, yoga teacher psychology 101, and so much more.
As a Yahoo! Wellness Expert, Random House author, and co-founder of At One Yoga, I will share from my 11 years as a yoga teacher, blogger, author, and marketer. Co-teaching and co-leading the program will be widely respected and supremely talented Ally Hamilton from Santa Monica Power Yoga. As one of the founding teachers of Power Yoga at 2nd Street (a worldwide mecca for yoga), Ally is a Columbia University graduate who fuses a fluid, athletic practice with a uniquely accessible style and perspective.
More information about the program will be released in the coming months and we will begin taking registrations in May. Please contact me with questions and stay tuned for the final details: yeahdave [at] mac [dot] com.
